Keeps the soil in while letting the water drain out. Drainage mesh is also available in the extra long size, 20cms x 30cms, that you can easily trim to size using scissors.

What is potting drainage mesh used for?

Use this handy drainage mesh at the bottom of your pot before adding soil when potting up and repotting, placing it over the drainage holes. Simple and quick. Helps prevent soil loss without blocking drainage holes, keeping soil free-draining. 

Size and material

Starts out 10cm diameter round in size which you can trim to suit any size. Fine mesh holes measure just under 2mm gaps. Made of strong yet flexible plastic mesh. Similar to what insect screens are made of. Won't rust or degrade. Reusable. Easy to trim to make it smaller or change the shape to square. Easy to customise.
